About Event

This interactive hands-on session is designed for UG/PG students to explore the fascinating world of Computer Vision and Image Processing. The session begins with the fundamental concepts of signals, images, and sensors, building a strong foundation in how digital images are formed, represented, and processed. • Students will then be introduced to basic image processing operations such as filtering, enhancement, edge detection, and feature extraction, all demonstrated through live coding examples in Python and OpenCV. • This hands-on workshop will further bridge theory to practice by highlighting how these techniques power real-world applications such as face detection, surveillance, biomedical imaging, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and smart IoT devices. • Special emphasis will be placed on the ECE/EEE perspective—understanding images as 2D signals, hardware aspects of sensors, and the importance of computational efficiency in embedded vision systems.
